Welcome.

Thank you for visiting the Trauma, Race, Identity and Development (TRIAD) Lab website. Our research explores and examines the pathways to healing from psychological trauma for Black and/or African Americans at the intersection of three important constructs (race, identity, and development). We call it the TRIAD.

Our research and community engagement are based on the foundational principle that the true generation of knowledge needed to effect sustainable change is facilitated by synergistic efforts and collective expertise of academic researchers, school- and community-based practitioners, and the youth, adults, and families involved in our research and service efforts.
